We’re proud to announce our support for the “Laou Laou – Car-Free event”, which will take place in Agioi Omologites, Nicosia, on Sunday, 21 September 2025, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Organised by the Organisation for Positive Urbanism (OPU), in collaboration with the Nicosia Municipality and Cohesion4(E)U and co-funded by the European Union, this exciting initiative forms part of the European Mobility Week 2025.
A Day of Culture, Sustainability and Community
The Laou Laou – Car-Free event aims to reimagine urban spaces by putting people, rather than cars, at the centre of city life. For one day, the streets of Agioi Omologites will be transformed into vibrant, car-free zones, filled with:
- Interactive workshops promoting sustainable living and urban well-being
- Guided walks that encourage exploration of the neighbourhood on foot
- Bingo games for fun community engagement
- Live music performances creating a festive atmosphere throughout the day
- Outdoor markets featuring local goods and crafts
