Strategic Resolution of Corporate and Property Dispute in Cyprus
Our firm successfully advised the Plaintiff in a complex corporate and property dispute before the District Court of Larnaca, achieving a decisive resolution through a carefully structured settlement following strategic litigation steps in a matter valued at up to €10 million.
The dispute concerned alleged unauthorized alterations to corporate structures and constitutional documents, as well as the threatened disposal of valuable immovable property. Our team acted swiftly to secure urgent ex parte interim injunctive relief restraining any changes to shareholding, management, registered office, constitutional documents, and any transfer of property. This preservative relief was instrumental in safeguarding the client’s legal and proprietary interests and in creating strong settlement leverage.
Building on this favourable procedural position, our lawyers Mr. Christos Ioannides, Ms. Vasiliki Chamba and Ms. Georgia Lavithi led the parties into private mediation. Following comprehensive verification of corporate records, validation of land registry documentation, and the implementation of carefully structured escrow arrangements, the parties concluded a robust Settlement Agreement.
Pursuant to the settlement, full ownership of both the company and the immovable property was transferred to our client, and the court proceedings were formally discontinued. The outcome restored proper corporate governance, secured critical assets, and eliminated long-term litigation risk, demonstrating our firm’s strength in combining litigation pressure with effective dispute resolution.
